Mon amour
By carving her declaration of love into a tree trunk, the artist makes him her own. She then scraped him clean with a potato peeler. Naked, he was beautiful, but vulnerable. Passersby could not resist the temptation to touch him and caress him. So she dressed him again. First with some underwear of newspapers, but the unwanted advances of passersby persisted. Everybody wanted to touch him. Then, to put an end to any further touches, she tied blackberry branches and other brambles to him with a rope.
Wood, newspaper, wallpaper glue, bark, rope, brambles.
