A wooden stump of roughly twenty five centimeter, laid on a satin pillow, a broken white, slightly larger than the stump. The oak wood was found along a forest track in a state of far-reaching decay. Cleaned to perfection: perfectly smooth and shiny. Worked on with special tools made out of the same wood. After this, the piece of wood was continually handled by the artist. In no way does it still remind us of its former state.
